Samsung

Moments of Wonder

In the summer of 2010 we were hired to capture lifestyle photography of real consumer "Moments of Wonder" for the October Launch of Samsung.com USA.

Leveraging Twitter, Facebook, and Craigslist we cast consumers who truly love their Samsung products, while also establishing a consistent look and feel for the series, which filled both hero image and product image needs.

Makespace

Your Closet in the Cloud

While looking to raise their next round of funding, Makespace wanted to improve their messaging and imagery across their website and promotional materials to help make their innovative offering clearer and more enticing.

We helped them simplify the description of their services to three words: Schedule. Pack. Cloud. and developed an approach to photography that was both aspirational as well as instructional, showing examples of what real customers put in their own Makespace bins.

We helped with the on-boarding and casting of real customers, and provided our photography assets in a flexible way, licensing them at a low rate for web use first, and then for NYC transit units later on when they were ready to make the investment.

Squarespace

Create Your Own Space

In the summer of 2012 Squarespace launched version 6, which was a completely new platform and a massive improvement over version 5 both in terms of functionality and aesthetics. The only problem was that the people who would likely love it, didn't know about it.

One of the many results of a long-term brand consulting engagement with Squarespace, this 2-day shoot in our studio resulted in still images and video that were used in a myriad of ways across the web, tv, print and outdoor, including an award-winning relaunch of their homepage in the summer of 2013.

We also helped with the on-boarding of ideal Squarespace 6 customers, which in some cases led to us casting them in a variety of content that celebrated their work while also highlighting the benefits of the Squarespace product.

The Ailey School

The Ailey School was looking for some flexible imagery of their senior students participating in a broad range of class types to promote their school program.

We took traditional still images as well as high speed video to support Alvin Ailey's upcoming website relaunch in 2010.

Alder Restaurant

The Making of Rye Pasta

As part of our engagement to do the brand design, photography, video and website for Wylie Dufresne's second restaurant Alder, we took a different approach to food photography, choosing to shoot the creation process of (what would be) an iconic dish as opposed to imagery of many finished dishes.

These images were shot with a RED Epic, allowing us to create a background video for the Alder website in addition to the high resolution stills. They were also the inspiration for the shots we did for Squarespace's Create Your Own Space campaign.

Alder Restaurant

Interior Photography

As part of our engagement to do the brand design, photography, video and website for Wylie Dufresne's second restaurant, Alder, we also shot interior images of the restaurant. We shot the finished space at night, so we could more accurately capture the pure ambiance of the space at the time of day people would experience it.
